DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED – Due to weather\nConcours d’Elegance 2023 \n  \nWhen: Sunday\, June 4\, 2023 \nTime: 9am -3pm \nWhere: Arapahoe Community College 5900 S Santa Fe Dr\, Littleton\, Colorado\, Littleton\, CO \nHost: Roy Davis \n  \nA charity fund raising event for Ability Connection Colorado\, Early Childhood Education \n \n\n\n\n  \nThe theme for the 2023 Colorado Concours event will be “The Evolution of the Automobile”; and the plan is to display a broad variety of automobiles beginning with an early Ford Model T\, and other antiques of that period. There will be 8 to 10 cars of various makes and models for each decade\, e.g.\, 1900-1919\, 1920-1929\, 1930-1939\, etc. through 1999\, with a total of 80 to 90 cars. The ‘Evolution’ cars will be in addition to the customary display of 350 sports cars. \nThe 2022 Colorado Concours event featured 350 entrants and raised over $75\,000 for the charity. There will be a $50.00 entrant fee per car\, which includes 2 entry passes. Spectators pay $10.00 per person at the entrance gate. Evolution owners should observe the registration cut-off date of May 13\, 2023. Registrations on the day of the event cannot be accommodated. Reservation will be accepted on a first come\, first served basis until a decade group is filled. Entrants will receive complete information and instructions no later than May 29 and are encouraged to arrive at the site between 6:30 and 8:00 am. Trailer parking will be available and the Evolution entrants will not be judged.

DESCRIPTION:ERC Simulator Demo Event/ Denver Racing Sim Demo \n \nDate: June 10\, 2023 \nTime:  10:00-12:30pm \nAddress: 747 Sheridan Blvd. Unit 5D\, Lakewood\, CO 80214 \n\nBe prepared for a thrilling event on June 10th. Andrew Woodward of Denver Racing Sim (formerly Elevated Racing Club\, or ERC) is inviting ZCCC members to experience the kind of car racing most of us can only dream about. Ten members will experience a free 10-minute session in his racing simulator which will be pre-programmed with the classic 5 speed Nissan GTP ZX-T at Laguna Seca race\, his personal recommendation for our club. The start time is 10am and will end at 12:30pm. This is a private event for ZCCC members so be sure to have your membership card/image available. Members can bring one guest however the guest will not have time in the racing sim. Due to the complexity of the simulator and equipment\, the minimum age for the event is 18 years. Waivers will need to be signed by all in attendance. **Sim time will be given to ZCCC members who sign up using the registration link below**. If you signed up in October\, you need to sign up again using the link. *Please register early*. When the maximum number of registrants is reached\, the software will disable the ability to register. Andrew will get members in the sim in order of arrival\, not booking time. There is a comfortable lounge and simulator room where you can talk with everyone or watch and wait for your turn. The club will furnish muffins. Please bring your own coffee\, tea\, water\, soda\, etc. \n*The building’s location is on the West side of Sheridan. The driveway goes up hill and comes to a T as it approaches the building. At the T go left and follow the road to the back of the building. Units are well labeled. Ample parking available. DESCRIPTION:AUTOCROSS 2023 \n \nWhen: Saturday\, June 17th 8am-Noon \nWhere: 23600 East 128th Avenue \nCost: $20.00 for each member and $30.00 for non-members \nHost: Andy Mortenson \n  \nFor those of you who are unfamiliar with it\, autocross is a timed competition held on flat\, paved surfaces with few obstructions such as parking lots or airport tarmacs in which drivers navigate one at a time through a defined course marked by traffic cones. \nAutocross courses place the demands on car handling and driver skill rather than on engine power and outright speed. It emphasizes safe competition and active participation. Since rubber traffic cones define the course\, the hazards are low. The speeds are typically not as great as those encountered in legal highway driving\, but the combination of concentration and precision maneuvering gives drivers an experience similar to that of a full road course race. \n  \nSome of you will remember the autocross event we held at the Adams County Sheriff’s Department Training Center in Commerce City last summer and how much fun it was. Well\, we’ve scheduled another autocross for the morning of Saturday\, June 17th. The event will again be held at the Adams County Sheriff’s Department Training Center in Commerce City. The facility is located at 23600 East 128th Avenue which is about 5 miles east of Barr Lake. \n  \nWe’ll be using their nice smooth 3 ¼ acre skill pad for our autocross. We have rented the pad for four hours\, from 8:00 AM until Noon. We’re going to limit participation to the first 20 cars to register because we’d like to guarantee each car a minimum of three timed runs through the course during that time. There will be a charge of $20.00 for each member and $30.00 for non-members. Please bring cash or a check payable to ZCCC because credit cards can’t be accepted. \n  \nHelmets will be required and the Training Center requires that a release form be signed by each participant. The center is in a treeless area and there is no shade so bring sun protection and drinking water. There are bathroom facilities within easy walking distance. Please save the date and come on out and watch the fun even if you don’t plan to participate. \nNote: The event has now been opened to the public because we only had a handful of members signed up to participate. We now have 13 people on the list which is approaching the 20 car limit.
