DESCRIPTION:GE DIGITAL CAMERA\nGE DIGITAL CAMERA\nGE DIGITAL CAMERA\n I’ve recently learned that the big car show at my church on September 19th has been cancelled due to Corona Virus. Rather than let that date go to waste\, I’ve decided to host a Zaturday drive instead. Some of you may remember a drive we took back in 2013 where we met at Ken Caryl Ranch and drove up to the Brook Forest Inn in Evergreen for lunch. It was a very scenic drive on a lot of fun twisty roads so we’re going to do it again. \nWe’ll meet at 9:30 AM at the Park-n-Ride lot on Ken Caryl Parkway located just east of   C-470.  From there\, we’ll take a leisurely cruise to Evergreen via a circuitous\, but scenic route. The drive covers about 35 miles of paved country roads and should take about 1.5 hours to complete. Detailed route instructions will be provided at the Park-n-Ride prior to departure.  Unfortunately\, the Brook Forest Inn is closed so the drive will end at an alternate location which will be provided in the instructions. Due to the uncertainties surrounding the virus at this point\, I would not plan to have lunch at a restaurant on this drive.

DESCRIPTION:Grab your favorite dad and the family and meet at Bandimere Speedway’s south parking lot used for the Master Drive Course.  The route for today’s drive will be over the Peak to Peak Highway.  You are welcome to cut off early if you would like a shorter drive\, here are your options: 1) after reaching Hwy 6-head east to Golden. 2)  ~6 miles from Black Hawk is Colorado 46\, head east\, the road will become Golden Gate Canyon Rd. and take you to Hwy 93 on the N side of Golden.  3)  ~15.5 miles from Black Hawk is Colorado 72\, Coal Creek Canyon Rd. This road takes you down to Hwy 93 between Golden and   Boulder west of Arvada.  4) ~ 18.5 mile from Black Hawk is Colorado 119 Boulder Canyon Dr.  This East bound road is in the middle of Nederland take the second exit in the round-about. DESCRIPTION:Non-Sanctioned Event (no member points) \nThis is the first drive of the season: Grab your favorite mom and the family and meet at the Bandimere Speedway South parking lot used for the Master Drive Course.  We will head south to Sedalia and west to Deckers.  We will be driving on a dirt road.  You will have to make a  decision.  Do you need to be back right away?  Or can you make it a little longer?  Or do you want a half-day drive?  The choice will be yours.   Or don’t make a decision until you get to Deckers.  We will stop briefly at Deckers to say our goodbyes to those who prefer a short 3 hour drive.  For those continuing on we will head south towards Woodland Park.  We will pull over briefly\, again to say our goodbyes to those who are looking for a 3.5+ hour trip ending at Sedalia and home.  For those looking for a longer route\, we will be going west out of Woodland Park toward Hartsel.  There are multiple additional dirt road options or we can take pavement all the way home. \nHere are the links to google maps with the drives.  Print your copy(s) of the route for the day. \nMeeting Point: Master Drive of West Denver\, south parking lot of Bandimere Speedway \n~3 hours:  Buffalo Creek\, Foxton\, Conifer\, Kittredge and Morrison \n~3.5 hours+: CO Springs and back to Sedalia \n~4.5+ hours: Hartsel/Fairplay or Lake George/Jefferson\, 11 mile reservoir\n(this route is subject to changes depending on the groups decision) \nAs the drives are all a half-day or less and social distancing guidelines\, stopping for food will not be an option.  Please bring drink\, snacks and radios so we can all communicate. DESCRIPTION:I have planned out 3 Zunday Mystery Drives for 3 Zundays in Zeptember.  They range in length from 2 ½ hours and 85 miles long to 3 ½ hours and 130 miles long.  Each day of the drive\, we will meet at the Dinosaur Ridge Main Visitor Center at 8:00 a.m.  The visitor’s center is on the west side of C-470 at Alameda Pkwy.  \nOn the day of the first drive\, Zeptember 15\, one lucky participant will get to choose from door #1\, #2 or #3.  That choice will determine which drive we do that day.  On Zeptember 22\, another lucky participant will get to choose one door from the 2 doors left and that will be the drive we do that day.  On Zeptember 29\, we will do the 3rd drive.  After each drive is chosen\, I will hand out maps of the route for the day.  As the drives are all a ½ day or less\, stopping for food will be optional and we’ll play that by ear.  Please bring radios so we can all communicate.  The weather may dictate what vehicle you decide to drive but we will go rain or shine unless there is a major catastrophic weather event.   \nFor additional info and/or to let me know if you are going\, please contact me at president@zccc.org  or at the number listed in the Odometer.
