The Tallow River Trappers of the SPRHS hold an annual rendezvous at Ft. Lupton in late February each year. They recreate a winter rendezvous at the park in full period costume while living as the trappers did. The Ft Lupton park contains a replica of the 1830s trading fort, a trappers cabin, pioneer farm house and barn.

There will be a trader’s row where trade and craft goods are sold. If you want to join in the reenactment, you can buy your buckskins, coon skin hat, and supplies. There is a shooting range in the park for black powder musket shooting competitions and demonstrations. Dress warm! Leave your Z in the garage and drive your AWD to this event. It will not be canceled because of snow or cold.

After the event, we will drive into town for lunch at a local restaurant.
