We are going to explore one of Colorado’s largest collection of military, space and civilian
aircraft. Our drive will be via I25 to Pueblo. The Museum opens at 10am. This will be a self-
guided tour so you can explore the museum at your own pace. There are two hangers and
outdoor exhibits that span over 85,000 square feet. The Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum is a
non-profit museum owned by the City of Pueblo and managed by the Pueblo Historical Aircraft
Society. The Museum was built on the historic site of the Pueblo Army Air Base, one of the
largest heavy bomber training bases in World War II. Six major bomb groups trained there and
would ultimately be assigned to the Mighty 8 th Air Force. Major Clark Gable trained with the
351st Bomber Group. The Museum is adjacent to the Pueblo Memorial Airport. Parking is free,
first come first served. Restrooms are located inside each hangar. The hangars are cooled with
large ceiling fans and not fully air-conditioned. The Gift Shop is fully air-conditioned. A
motorized wheelchair is available. Handicapped parking is available. There is ample seating
throughout each hanger and a paved sidewalk connects the two hangars. Visit the Museum
website https://pwam.org for additional information. See pictures below from the Pueblo
Weisbrod Aircraft Museum website.

Optional lunch will be at Shamrock Brewing Company. Our reservation time is 12:45pm. They
specialize in Irish pub fare and American cuisine including fish & chips, beer braised Irish pot
roast, corned beef with cabbage, Irish cheese ale soup, fresh salads, and their signature Bread
Pudding with Irish Cream sauce. Everything is made in-house. In addition, they craft beer, have

an extensive list of top-shelf Irish and Scotch whiskeys, an ample wine selection and specialty
cocktails. Visit their website at https://shamrockbrewing.com to review their extensive food
and beverage menus. There is street parking, either parallel or pull-in. They do not allow
separate checks and no personal checks. Suggest bringing cash to pay for your meal.

If you want to explore beautiful Pueblo, you can take a walk on the Riverwalk which follows the
Arkansas River, visit historical downtown Pueblo, or tour the Pueblo Heritage Museum.
