I am attempting to do a tune up on my 1970 240Z. Everything seems to be functioning: coil is putting out spark, points are adjusted to .18, the spark plugs are properly gaped and installed. When changing the plug wires I have no memory of the correct placement into the distributor cap.
I am assuming that #1 cylinder is at the front of the engine and follow sequence #2, #3 in sequence back to #6 closest to the fire wall.
I have tried to use information for installation I have found on the net, but can never get the engine to start.
The engine had run, though very poorly, before I did this tune up.
Do you have any additional thoughts after sending along the correct plug wire placement into the distributor cap.
Thanks in advance for your help with my great old Z. Even Nissan Dealerships are unable to answer this question. Very frustrating.
